 "I’ve been involved with SFEP for some years now and as well as being the current chairman I’m also a director.
The direct team are a pleasure to work and then being able to extend links to and between other partners is a pleasure which works incredibly well.
Although we have had to move direction somewhat, particularly in not putting pressure on schools to access the services, we have maintained an excellent balance of being able to offer things outside the normal school’s curriculum.
It’s a pleasure to be involved."

"I've been involved with SFEP for five years now and was blown away by this group of people across our community that wanted to provide opportunities for local children, young people and their families to learn new skills, have new experiences, and have fun!

For the past two years I've been hands on as director and secretary at the network, enabling projects, applying for funding and supporting our network partners so that we can work together to provide opportunities in our area.

I love working with such a passionate network of people, who really make a difference in young people's lives."

"My name is Ruth Harrison and I am delighted to introduce myself as the Principal of The Forest View Academy. I have been teaching for 20 years, the last 14 of which have been based in Ollerton. I have a simple philosophy; to encourage children to be aspirational and dream big! I am passionate about providing an environment for children to grow in confidence and develop the skills required to be ‘lifelong learners,’ equipped with the essential skills to be successful in all they do. 

The SFEP benefits our children and their wider families in so many ways, providing enrichment opportunities and experiences - linking local service providers, organisations and volunteers in supporting our children to be the very best versions of themselves. "

"Having worked in Ollerton for many years in one way or another, although I don’t live in Ollerton I feel an affinity to it because of the close community it represents. 

Partnerships within the boundaries of Ollerton have always worked together to achieve a number of positive initiatives, and I have attended many meetings with all representatives from the local community being free to have their say and be heard which is unusual in our world today. 

The Sherwood Forest Education Partnership for me represents community, wanting to do the right thing and access and support for all at all times. 

I absolutely support the work of The Sherwood Forest Education Partnership, and have had the privilege of working on a number of projects in the past"

"I am very proud to be part of the Sherwood Forest Education Partnership.  I live in Ollerton with my husband and children which we quickly made our home in 2008.

Our whole family believes in the joy of learning from; swimming lessons on a Saturday morning to reading a new book you just can't put down,  from meeting someone new and learning about their culture to planting something new in the garden or fixing something for the first time to baking a masterpiece birthday cake!

What I love the most about the SFEP is that it recognises that there is no limit to where or how  learning takes place.  The range of amazing and exciting projects delivered by the SFEP ensures that there is something to inspire learning for everyone regardless of how old or young you are!"
